Andhra Pradesh Government will create a land bank named 'Bhi Nidhi' with 20,000 acres in four Uttar Andhra districts for IT sector expansion.
After declaring the decision to make Visakhapatnam a pradi IT hub, the plan to create Bhi Nidhi was unveiled by the government at a two-day Collectors' Conference, which concluded here on Thursday.
At present the government has only 312.92 acres of land
Another 19,687.08 acres of land is planned to be acquired in Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts.
Officials said 20,000 acres will be kept as standby for allotment to investors in IT in the four districts. The government is determined to establish dedicated IT parks
Apart from this, another 3,500 acres is estimated to be required for setting up data centers, according to an official.
